Valentino Balboni has one of the best jobs in the world. When at Maranello, the Ferrari F1 drivers lend a hand in ringing out the latest Italian stallions. Over in Sant’Agata the job belongs to Balboni. He’s been with the company since 1968, working his way up from mechanic’s apprentice to his current role as chief test driver. The guy gets to drive Lamborghinis day in, day out…what more could you ask for?

Once in a while some lucky “civilian” gets the chance to ride shotgun with Balboni in the latest fire-snorting bull. This video was recorded from inside the cockpit of a Murcielago LP640 as Balboni gave his passenger what was certainly the ride of his life - tail out, foot to the floor as the Lambo drifted from corner to corner around the Bahrain race circuit. Note: Due to the passenger/videographer repeatedly screaming obscenities during the lap, we wouldn’t recommend watching as your boss looks over your shoulder.

Less is more when it comes to exotic sportscars. Less weight, that is. Enthusiasts know that taking extra weight out of a sportscar makes it go faster. No wonder, then, that the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera that was unveiled last month at the Geneva show was such a hit.

Although Lamborghinis are decidedly built for the road, the results of the Gallardo’s high-perfomance diet can best be seen (and heard) on the race track. This video comes courtesy of the Swedish Auto Motor & Sport, who took the new Superleggera out for a spin at the Phoenix International Raceway in Arizona. It’s fast, it’s rare, and it costs one million euros to own. The Reventón may well be the Lamborghini to end all Lamborghini’s, but with only 20 copies ever scheduled to see their way through the assembly process, it may be too exclusive for its own good. Either way, 650 HP and 0-60 in 3.4, and slap you in the face styling are enough to keep enthusiasts of all ages up at night. The Reventón may be 20 copies exclusive, and none of us may ever see one on public roads, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t all over YouTube. There are some photogenic cars that take your breath away just from the pictures. And there are others that you have to see in the flesh to appreciate. Then there are a few - like the Lamborghini Reventon - that fit both: each picture speaks a thousand words, but seeing it up close yields an even deeper appreciation of its styling. The most extreme of Lamborghinis was created for just that purpose: shock and awe.

Although rumors are circulating that Lamborghini may give the green light for a total production run of 100, currently the company plans to build only twenty examples, which means that most may never have a chance to see one up close and in person. Fortunately Sant’Agata has released this video walk-around to allow the world to take in its latest creation in all of its oblique glory. Follow the jump to see for yourself.

When Jaguar’s “Gorgeous” campaign TV ads came out a few years back with the XK, some ad critics questioned the none-too-subtle message they contained: older, distinguished gentleman gets to frolic with beautiful young women when he drives this car. Whether or not that’s the case — concerning the ad or in real life — a new Lamborghini commercial with Sam Hubinette takes that same riff and, being Lamborghini, pushes it even further.

Hubinette and some wet, downtown LA roads show what the car can do, and the spot also shows what the car has. Boasting “features like no other,” the first one of which is a Phone Number Collecting Set that appears to specialize in tall brunettes, the car also has an Anti-Boredom Assistant (that engine, a Talk of the Town Guarantee, and a Gets Into All Clubs function0.
